Bert & Bratt Review

Have you ever watched sci-fi shows and wished you could have some of the technology?  ok, I'm totally going to geekify myself but I'd have to say that Star Trek Voyager has some of the coolest toys ever.  What I wouldn't give for a replicator....  Anyhow, now you can have a taste of an awesome high tech toy!  Bert & Bratt sent me one of these neat little machines to review and I have to say I was pretty giddy when it came in the mail.
What is it? It is a sterilizer for your baby pacifiers, bottle nipples and other small toys or things for your baby.  But it gets even better.  Here are some of the coolest features that will make you feel like you own a gadget from the future:

  • It's portable!!  The whole thing fits into your hand and is just smaller than a soft ball.
  • It's not messy- there's no liquids, paste, powder or anything else to refill or be afraid of spilling in your purse or car.
  • It sterilizes by UV light only.

Isn't that awesome?!?!  My kids were all ooohhhs and ahhhhs as we opened it.  Another feature I learned about at the Expo is that it wont turn on unless it's closed.  So there is no danger of the UV rays exposing anywhere they shouldn't.

ok so here's some official information on how it works:

Bert & Bratt products have a small UVGI light that kills germs using a dual-action process. The oxygen in the air reacts with a range of 254 nm wavelengths creating ozone to safely eliminate up to 99.9% of germs and bacteria. The only by-product of this process is oxygen, leaving the pacifier without any residue or harmful bacteria. Simply push and hold button until light flashes.  When flashing has stopped, sterilization has occurred. It breaks down bacteria and exposes the DNA/RNA, quickly destroying the cell.
UV light is often used in hospitals to sterilize equipment as well as to remove germs from water and air.
Simple yet effective.
This will now be a new addition to our baby kit!  Here's the website where you can order yours-
